This weeks review is The Crispy Spud on the Carleton Place Hwy. Opened since 2011, this chip wagon is always a popular spot and no question as to why. Big menu with some delicious and creative concoctions. The only downside of this food truck is you really have to follow them on social media to keep up to date on thing whether it be hydro issues, weather advisories or even family events, which again it happens to everyone but I find its just more often with this food truck. PLEASE don't let this affect you going because I swear, the food is worth it.
Review: All together ordered was a hot dog platter with a poutine and a Chicken Club Ciabatta Sandwich platter upgraded the fries to a bulldog supreme (no sour cream) 9.5/10
Chicken Club Ciabatta Platter: Club sandwich is a grilled piece of chicken on a ciabatta bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese but I got this without cheese. The platter usually comes with fries but I got mine upgraded to a bulldog supreme which in my honest opinion is the best thing on the menu. Think fries supreme from Taco Bell but with a lot of fresh toppings. Honestly the portion was HUGE! At first thought it was super expensive for the platter but once it arrived, you definitely get your moneys worth.
Price: 26.75 (they are cash only, also this was only for my platter)
Location: 7615 Hwy 15, Carleton Place ON
