The Hawks Nest (Kitchen & Catering)

 

Ive been sleeping on this small business for a while. This restaurant was going to be one of the very posts on my blog but there were talks of them moving from there previous spot to their new spot and didn't want to post until everything was moved and ready to go. The Hawks Nest! Originally started as a chip wagon on Chambers street (Bakers Fries) , they eventually got so busy and well known that they had the opportunity to open in the Settlers Ridge Mall in Smiths Falls to great success (especially with the student crowd from SFCDI nearby). Now due to renovations and space issues from the old spot, they are now located in the Lombard Glen Golf Course. They regularly do breakfast and lunch (with the odd dinner service) and everything they offer is delicious and most can't get at other restaurants in town. 

Review: Its hard to review one meal as we frequent this restaurant multiple times. Im going to post my usual order but overall I rate this..  10/10

Red Hawk Special - Comes with 2 eggs, any style with 3 pieces of a meat of your choice (bacon, sausage, ham) home fries (deep fried or grilled) toast and a side of baked beans. I normally do no toast with extra onions in the homefries (so good!)

Taco Wrap with sweet potato fries- wrap with taco meat, onions, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and salsa. Platter comes with fries as well . Again I get my fries upgraded to sweet potato fries that comes with a garlic aioli, and the wrap with no salsa or sour cream.

Price: $13-$17 (again for my foods but this is the average price of a meal as well.. give or take a few)
