Bob's Fresh Cut Fries

 

This weeks review is Bob's Fresh Cut Fries in the small town of Merrickville, Ontario. Ive only been here a few times but every time ive been here there's been a big line up or their little sitting area is full. Don't let that deter you, they are pretty fast, and their food is absolutely delicious. A few friends and co-workers have been recommending this chip wagon once they found out about my blog so I definitely had to come back and get some food to officially review. 

Review: I ordered the Black Truffle & Parmesan fries and a hot dog. The last few times I have been here I've gotten the pulled pork poutine, which believe me - you'll want to come here if you're starving, the portions are good sized! You can even order a nice cold beer on a hot day.  The day we were here again the sitting area was packed and there was a line waiting to order but between ordering and waiting, we were only there maybe not even 10 minutes. Also not sure if it was because they were trying to get people in and out but did find one of the employees that was working window was kinda carelessly putting out food but hey, like I said it was busy, a lot of people were enjoying the food so it could have just been a busy day and not really knowing they were doing that.

Black Truffle & Parmesan fries: Fresh cut fries that are sprinkled in sea salt with summer truffle, truffle oil and parmesan cheese, served with a garlic aioli. The serving was pretty big but hey you are getting your moneys worth. Only downside to me personally was the fries. I am one that doesn't care for the skin on the fries but because these come with a dip, I'm ok with it. 

Hot Dog: the dogs here are different but in the best way. Here you don't get the usual small hot dog this is a jumbo sized one and the bun here - not 100% sure but it tastes fresh, does not taste like the store bought ones. Comes plain with the toppings at the side of the truck. 

Price: $37.83 (they prefer cash but will accept other payments, this was the total for 2 meals. My fries and a hot dog. Other things ordered was small poutine & hot dog)
